Chargebackify watches your Shopify Payments disputes. When a bank raises an inquiry, the app finds the order it belongs to and refunds it inside the response window — so there is nothing left to file.
This is prevention, not dispute management. Nothing is contested after the fact, because the case is answered while the bank is still asking. A dispute that has already been filed is a different thing, and the app says so rather than refunding it.
A single refunded order is the small win. The real exposure is your standing with the payment networks.
We are not going to pretend prevention gets you the sale back — it does not. Answering an inquiry means refunding the customer in full, and that is your money. What you keep is the dispute fee, and a chargeback that never lands on your account. Here is the same $129 order, worked through both ways.
Already in a network monitoring program and need the ratio down before the next review window.
Renewal charges customers forget about are the most common source of friendly fraud disputes.
Long delivery windows create item-not-received claims. Early alerts let you cancel before the parcel ships.
At thousands of orders a day, disputes stop being a support task and become a treasury problem.
Shopify-native from install. It reads your orders and issues refunds through Shopify itself, so there is no middleware and nothing to keep in sync.
Chargebackify is new. Every other page here describes what the app does, not what it has achieved, and this page is where the testimonials would normally go. Inventing them would tell you something true about us, just not the thing we would want it to.
Three permissions: read your Shopify Payments disputes, read the order behind one, refund it. Shopify shows you the list at install, and you can compare it to what the app claims to do.
Nothing. Install it, leave automatic refunds off, and watch which disputes arrive and what the app would have done. It records every case whether or not you are paying.
Uninstall. There is no contract and no minimum, billing stops with the app, and your dispute history is yours to export as CSV before you go.
One click, no developer, no code in your theme.
Choose what refunds itself and what comes to you for review.
There is nothing to enrol in. The next dispute Shopify Payments records for your store arrives in the app.

Prevention. Chargebackify acts on inquiries — the stage where the issuing bank is asking about a charge and has not filed a chargeback. Refunding answers the question, so there is no case to fight and no evidence to submit. A dispute that arrives already filed is shown to you and left alone, because by then the money is withheld and refunding it would cost you the order twice.

An inquiry is the stage before a chargeback: the cardholder has raised the charge with their bank, and the bank is asking about it rather than filing. Shopify Payments records it and passes it to the app. Answering it inside the response window means no chargeback is recorded against your account.
Representment fights a dispute that has already been filed. Even when you win, the chargeback still counts toward the ratio your acquirer monitors. Prevention resolves the case before it is filed, so it never enters that number.
Install it, walk the four setup steps and set your threshold. There is no processor to connect — it reads the disputes Shopify Payments already records. Leave automatic refunds off for the first couple of weeks if you want to watch what it would have done before it does it.
There is no monthly fee. You pay $19 per prevented Visa chargeback and $25 per prevented Mastercard chargeback, capped at $500 per 30 days. A dispute that is not prevented is not billed.
